Almost 82 percent of the women responding to the survey reported that stimulation of their nipples increased their sexual arousal, and 78 percent said that, if they were already sexually aroused, nipple stimulation increased their arousal. Among the men, about 52 percent reported that nipple stimulation increased their arousal, while about 40 percent indicated that if already aroused such stimulation would arouse them more.

Men who are comfortable with their bodies and their sexuality are usually more open to experimentation. With a patient and persistent partner, most men can be introduced to and become comfortable with nipple play. Men’s nipples have the same nerve-packed pleasure receptors that women’s do. However, since men’s nipples are often neglected, and therefore not accustomed to stimulation, they might be supersensitive to touch. So make sure you start out gently, and then gauge how much pressure to apply by how he responds to your strokes.
